Blog Assinment # 8: Google-itis?

In my point of view the internet as well as technology has become our memory. Now in days no one bothers to remember things because we know that we can access them whenever we want wherever we want. All of our information is stored in computers and phones. Today you can go to almost any cafe or restaurant and use their wi-fi, so you can access your information while you're out of home. Desktop computers are in the past, now laptops have substituted them, and we can take them anywhere as well. I actually think that I have fallen for the google effect, the reason why id because at times when I don't have time to copy all of my notes in class, the first thing that goes through my mind is, "no problem I'll just google it when I get home". Now that i take the time to think about my actions I realize that I've been making a mistake, if technology was to ever fail me I would be completely lost, because I wouldn't be able to remember most of my important data. I find it very hard to find a solution for this problem, but I think that our lifestyle would have to change if we really wanted to stop depending on technology. We would have to go back to the old-school style, which is writing everything in paper and saving it, hoping it won't get lost. But everything is possible if we try although in this specific case I find it very hard.
